Kiyoshi Oguri received B.S. and M.S. in physics from Kyushu Univ. in 1974 and 1976, respectively. He also received a Ph.D. degree in information engineering from the Univ. in 1997.
Since joining NTT in 1976, he was first engaged in research, design and development of high-end general purpose computer, and on the basis of this experience, became engaged in research, design and development of the SFL/PARTHENON: high-level logic synthesis system. In 1997, he got an idea of PCA (Plastic Cell Architecture) with his coresearchers. Currently he is a professor of Nagasaki University of Japan. He is a member of IPSJ, IEICE, ACM and IEEE.
His research interests are in hardware modeling, high-level synthesis, FPGA-related system, and PCA.
